The ghostly ambiance of WUSO's "Lonley Streets" flickers to life as a hypnotizing visual journey into the night. Melancholy, meditative, and subtly surreal. The film draws on a combination of 3D animation and analog visual effects processes including video feedback and hardware based glitch effects rescanned from an 8” CRT TV. Rescanning directly captures the light and texture of the CRT display while preserving the full dynamic range of our analog glitch equipment, resulting in imagery that appeares tactile, personal, and imersive. Our animation expands on the graphic design established by Studio Kevlar’s packaging, translating it's colors and icons into 3D motion that echoes the intimate, textural quality of WUSO's music.
Comissioned by Mthrbord in support of the album's release, our film became a core component of the project’s visual rollout, driving social engagement and hype ahead of the relase. Additonally, the video functioned as a lasting promotional tool, continuing to attract new fans and reinforcing the reach of Mthrbord and WUSO beyond the initial launch.
