Mechamedia Industries marks the 20th anniversary of Byron Bailey’s 2001 “Tribute to Trash” with a psychedelic trip through the high desert. Found footage is run through analog signal processing hardware from BPMC Glitch and Freedom Enterprises before being displayed on an 8″ cathode ray tube for final photography. I wanted this video to speak to feelings of loss, isolation and loneliness, while tapping into the track’s lost-in-time-and-space sense of dispossession and wandering.
